EDIT: NO this was not for April Fools (Blah I forgot to do something this year, poo...). Disney Create already closed down Pixie Hollow and ToonTown as many of you former players of that know. I won't take the chances. They already disabled the comment section and various other basic features. Besides, it's April 3rd now and if I were you, I'd start saving asap!

Yes, I'm referring to disney.com/create.

No need to concern yourselves with this if you have never heard of the site xD ! Not worth the time explaining if you haven't .. "experienced" yourself. :aww:

A big HUGE thank you to OverTheRhine90 and SallyWally30 for notifying me of this but...

Disney Create is officially shutting down the 'Create' portion of their site and therefore deleting all of your accounts and artwork.

Why? Because they want to focus on other things like kids' applications on various mobile devices more or less. Read more about the details in their FAQ linked in the banner on disney.com/create.

On another note, if you want to keep/save your old work from there (unfortunately you can't save animations, etc), you'll need to do so by April 29, 2014.

The site closes on the 30th.

Tips for saving animations and comics the unconventional way:

ChaoticFluffball suggests: Using a recording program such as Hypercam to record your animation playing.
DrPepperWolf suggests: Using Quicktime to record animations
PixelatedFairy suggests: Saving individual pages for comics by right-clicking and saving the images.

Thanks guys!

What I'm doing is screenshotting my profile and saving everything (hopefully).

This is actually rather unfortunate because you can't save things like comics I believe (along with animations as previously mentioned).. so much for all the work right?

Well, I'm not quite sure how I feel about this.. It was the start of my interest in digital art to be honest and though the site has more than just a few flaws, I'm sure it is still a precious memory to most of us who were on there since the early days.

I feel old o.o

Then again! If you weren't on there, please do not pay attention to this xD

Just wanted to announce to the good amount of DC retire-ees I know on here!
I'll miss the fun times we had back there with everyone ;u; *sniffles*

RIP DC

Sentimentally and Yours Truly,
..DRAW ON!

I think I just shed a few manly tears.

I am so upset about this! And the reason why they're shutting it down is BEYOND stupid. Most little kids don't even HAVE cell phones! Plus, there's pretty much no other art website that kids can use. DA is for 13 plus, I believe, and many others are for 18 plus. So kids don't really have too many places to share their art. Closing the website has ruined pretty much ALL of Disney for me.
