Have You been Bullied? +Comic preview

.    A young pit bull by the name of Toby (name-holder) has been living the life ever since he can remember. The life of a stray dog that is. No one adopted him back at the pound and he's escaped the fate of euthanization. As many of you know pit bulls are subject to one of the worst prejudice of all dogs, if not the very worst.                                                          .    Commonly misunderstood as lock-jaw, vicious, and cruel animals that maul children and other animals alike, our perspective on pit bulls for the most part has not been the most positive. Most pit bull owners will tell you they've never had any problems with these beautiful dogs; just takes a little patience and the right training.                                                                     .    I decided that as my first official graphic novel and story, I'd make this something more simple and realistic, in a sense that the world I'm inventing isn't invented at all. Think of this as realistic fiction. I wanted something everyone can either relate to, or have seen before and relate to that. And my parallel that I'm dealing with in this story is bullying.         .    Bullying in so many cases is nothing other than judging someone for what they look or how they act without ever knowing them, and then making them the subject of reckless and nonstop teasing and physical abuse. I believe that as far-fetched as it may sound, the constant discrimination of pit bulls for just the breed of dog they are, is the animal version of bullying. Although I myself have also been teased and looked down upon in my earlier years of school, I know that everyone's accounts with bullying, whether as the victim or the observer, are different.
