~~Also since so many asked! I used the 'fringe' effect on SAI under 'paints effects' which is above the layers This was the brush tool~!
Haha I have no idea what I did with the title!
But I guess it fits In some way...
Well I love how this turned out! I was going for a painterly chat pose; something I haven't done in a while but did differently this time! No initial grayscale base so this was fun!
Did it over the span of a few days and finally finished haha after a week! ^-^ Although I must say I'm very satisfied with the result, eh :3 Satisfaction never lasts too long eh?
Enjoy My dear OC Crane; she's one of my personal favs <3 And haha yes the chinese character for fire is distorted due to the folds in the paper lantern!
It was nice doing some personal art to relax ^~^ hehe
Lovely!! excellent effects (particularly in lighting) and I love the lucid-apricot dream-ishness of it (that doesn't make any sense but taht's the best phrasing I can think of) well done!!
I see that you say the piece took you 2-3 hours... I think that if I tried to do a similar piece on a similar level, I'd be able to without problem because I can match it with my artistic level, but the only problem is that it would take me four or five times the amount of time it took you... even without distractions >-<
Ah that would be 2 hours ^-^ so it's closer to 3 hours total for the whole thing but the shading took almost 2 hours >~< I don't have exact numbers since it was on and off a lot but haha
amg well I'm sure you could! :'D I mean shading's taken gradually less time for the same 'quality/complexity' of work for me but I mean idk :'o haha
Ahhh okays. And yeah, I guess you are right that as you practice a certain style of something like shading, your time to do a certain type of style/shading gradually takes less time.
haha np!
and thankq!!!
